Ukraine: call for proposals to develop roadmap for engagement with CSOs

The ‘Civil Society Dialogue for Progress’ project, funded by the EU, has launched a call for proposals for the development of a baseline study for the Roadmap for engagement with civil society organisations in Ukraine between 2014 and 2017. The global objective of the call is to assess the situation vis-à-vis the key priorities of the 2012 Communication and establish benchmark indicators with a view to measuring progress on the Roadmap for engagement with CSOs in Ukraine 2014-2017 (more).
 

Belarus' accession to Bologna Process approved by European education ministers

Belarus' accession to the Bologna Process has been approved by the resolution of European education ministers in Yerevan, Armenia on 14 May.

Online consultations begin for 9th UNESCO Youth Forum 2015

  The 9th UNESCO Youth Forum will take place in Paris, 26-28 October 2015. UNESCO has launched online consultations to receive young people’s feedback to develop the themes of the forum - access the survey here .

Minister Ihor Zhdanov addresses EPYRU Kyiv Workshop

The EPYRU's successful Ukrainian National Workshop in Kyiv on 31 March - 1 April was honoured by a visit and address from the Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr. Ihor Zhdanov. The workshop,  which focussed on the development of a youth centres network in Ukraine, included 70 delegates from Kyiv and the regions of Ukraine, and was also addressed by experts from the Council of Europe, Lithuania, Ukrainian regional centres and experts of the EPYRU. EC Consultation: "Towards a new European Neighbourhood Policy"

The European Neighbourhood Policy, which includes the EU's Eastern Partnership  initiatives, was last reviewed in 2011. Now a detailed review has been prepared, including an initial recommendations that "increasing engagement with young people, including through educational exchanges and other networks, can play a major role in developing a common vision for the future." Comments are inivited from all interested parties including youth organizations. The consultation procedure is set out here; the consultation is open until 30 June 2015.

OFID/UNDP Cross-regional Grants Competition

All Eastern Partnership country NGOs are eligible for this competition - youth NGOs may be particularly interested in projects for a more accessible and inclusive labour market. Deadline 30 March. Details and application here.

Training of Trainers for Youth in the Council of Europe - New Call for Participation

Applications close on 10 March 2015. Click here for details of the call. NB: Eastern Partnership countries are all eligible to participate but Azerbaijan, Georgia  and Moldova participants are particularly sought, as these countries have been underrepresented in the past. Training takes place in Strasbourg and funding is available.
